Search by a photo

Have a photo? Find the person.

Upload any clear photo of one face and Sherlock looks for that same person across social platforms and the wider public web, then ranks every match by how closely it lines up.

The process

How the search works.

  1. 01Upload

    Add the photo

A screenshot, a saved image, or a fresh shot, anything with one clear face works.

  2. 02We search

    We match the face

We compare it against openly published images across the web and score each candidate.

  3. 03You review

    Review the matches

Results come back ranked by confidence and linked to their source. Your photo is deleted right after.

FAQ

Good to know.

What kind of photo works best?

A sharp, front-facing image of a single face gives the strongest results. Screenshots are fine as long as the face is clear.

What happens to my photo?

It goes to the matching engine for that one search and nowhere else. Sherlock keeps no copy and never sells or shares it.

Is my search private?

Yes. Every result is visible only inside your own account. We never build public pages for the people you search.

Your first search takes only seconds. We delete the photo the moment it's done and keep every result private to you.
